This is Me.

My name is Erin Jeffrey and I am the artist behind the idea.

I am a Prince Edward Island Artist and have painted all of my life. I am self taught and love to paint things for others.

I was born in Prince Edward Island, Canada, but moved every couple of years until University because my father was in the Air Force and we always seemed to be moving.

I think it made me the person I am today, always ready for change, but it also made me appreciate the support and closeness of family.

I painted musicians for students throughout University until I moved to France in my third year, which was probably the greatest experience of my life and really opened my eyes to new cultures. I attended French language classes, as well as an art class to learn to paint the human figure.

I finished University with a major in French and a minor in business.

When I was finished my degree, I moved to Korea for a year where I taught English to children of all ages. Children are wonderful, kind and welcoming. Without even speaking the same language, they made that experience absolutely amazing for me. I eventually learned Korean by being immersed in the culture...although being away from it for so long, I'd have to be thrown into it again to pick it back up.

After moving "home" to Nova Scotia, where my parents lived at the time, I decided I needed to see more. I decided to move to Mexico, where I lived in a Mexican home with a wonderful family and taught English, while learning Spanish. After six months, learning about the culture and how close they are with family, I knew I needed to go home.

My parents had retired back to Prince Edward Island and my brothers and sister and I seemed to all come together there as well. It was perfect, I was back to my roots, living near family and loving every minute of it.

I substituted as a French Immersion teacher for a few years while serving at the Olde Dublin Pub and Claddagh Oyster House in downtown Charlottetown.

I bought my first home in 2005 where I opened my very own Art gallery with my own art called the Gallerie Maison Rouge. My little red house in downtown Charlottetown was the perfect way of life for me, until I decided after a few years that I needed to do something more.

I have loved painting all my life, and have continued to paint for people, but I wanted to try and get into Veterinary College. I love animals and sciences and thought it was the perfect fit.

I am now in my second year of Vet School and loving it!

I have come to the point in my life where I know who I am, and who I am is an artist and an animal lover, with ambition and a passion for good.

My painting style, however, is continuously growing and changing and every opportunity makes it a greater pleasure to paint. That's the great things about art, it grows with you!

Thank you for taking the time to read about me and visit my website!

Sincerely,

Erin
